It doesn’t matter what you order from Tai Thai because Chef Tatwara Supulchai makes sure that every dish that leaves his kitchen passes his tests first. By bringing a little piece of Thailand to America and pairing that with a new age French bistro interior, Tai Thai gives diners everything that they’re looking for in a restaurant.
Drop by and try the Gang Dang or the Ped Ma Kham and you will be coming back again soon. However, if you don’t know what these two dishes are, the best way to find out is to order from Tai Thai and have a personal taste test.
Gang Dang—Red curry with Thai eggplant, bamboo shoot, bell pepper and basil leaves; served with chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp, calamari, scallop or roasted duck
Gang Kheaw Waan—Green curry with Thai eggplant, bamboo shoot, bell pepper and basil leaves; served with chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp, calamari, scallop or roasted duck
Pad Khing—Sautéed with ginger sauce, shredded fresh ginger, earwood mushroom, bell pepper, onion and scallion; served with chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp, calamari, scallop or roasted duck
Pad Kapraw—Sautéed with basil sauce, onion and bell peppers; served with chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp, calamari, scallop or roasted duck
Ped Ma Kham—Crispy duck topped with tamarind sauce and steamed vegetables
Po Tak—Combination seafood with galangal and lemongrass sauce
Food was tasty and delivery guy nice, but the order was a bit off (forgot the rice and wrong kind of noodles)

solid basil chicken and shrimp, but a bit spicy for my taste.

There are so many Thai restaurants in NYC and Tai Thai stands out from the rest. I love their duck yum salad and eggplant yum salad. I usually eat in or pick up for takeout. So I can't advise on their delivery. The quality and prices are top notch.

The panang curry wasn't very good. The chicken skewers came in this gross bag and felt really greasy.

Terrible. I had coconut rice which was green and disgusting, and the chicken dumplings had bad pieces of chicken. overall, very disappointed.

SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW RUDE service!

Be prepared to wait a long time to get your food! They are very inaccurate with delivery time we waited close to two hours for our food.

Good noodles, bad duck salad.

I got the chicken satay, summer rolls and thai tea. Everything was really delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and the delivery was quick but the satay was a really small portion.

Food was fine, nothing particularly exciting. Delivery was 25 minutes past the estimated time (though it was raining). When I called, they didn't answer the first several times - when they finally did pick up, I was assured that my order was out for delivery before they even took my name or order number.
Will not order again.

Quick and easy like leftovers. Is always fresh, no frills - I know what I'm going to get.

The Curry puffs were excellent. The fried calamari was Not. Tasted stale...forced myself to eat it so I wouldn't waste my money

My go to Thai restaurant. I usually order the standard fare, and their curries are spicy. I've always received my deliveries on time and piping hot.

This was a disaster. 60 minutes after placing my order, I called the restaurant and they said "there are no pending seamless orders so it must be on the way". I asked if they could check to confirms but she said "no, we're too busy". Another 40 minutes later, the is still no delivery. I just called again and this time they said he's definitely on the way. I could tell she just wanted to get off the phone. This is not a serious restaurant. They are rude and don't care about their customers.
Recommend you try a different place.

Do NOT order from this restaurant - I waited over two hours and still didn't any food, not even after calling in did I get a clear response about when I would get my pricey and then cold food!

good for the area, could be spicier and more flavorful

Never had a bad dish, and they seem to actually read what you put in the special requests.

Not as fresh as one other place I order from all the time but I like the sweet sticky rice for dessert!! I don't mind alternating btw this place and my fav.

The fried crab dumpling tatsted like hotdog and the padthai looked good but the noodles lacked the encessary spices.

first time I ordered I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, price, quantity, tastiness.... second time i ordered - but disappointed. pineapple red curry was much thinner than last time - consistency of water. Green curry fried rice had the duck, but zero curry flavor, let alone green curry. Overall still a good value but I wasn't impressed like the first time I ordered, a week before. I'll give it one more shot.

Food is old and tastes stale, very disappointing. summer rolls are rubbery, tomyum soup has really stale chicken, gave it to my dog.

so so Thai food. Had way better.

AWFUL! descriptions on menu are just WRONG! Po Tak listed as "Speciality" for $16 with the description of "mixed seafood combo in lemongrass galangal sauce"... is a small soup that had 2 shrimp in it. I called thinking there was a mistake, the woman that answered was rude & argumentative. I ended up calling seamless customer service. Tai Thai is a No No!

i guess it's cheap, so possibly worth three stars considering the price. But overcooked, bland, and low-quality ingredients . . . it's not worth the savings.

Get the Goog Pong Caree -- shrimp with curry flavor & veggies. It's delish.

Both items I ordered were gross. The crab cakes were mystery meat. The pad thai was sub-par at best.

Pad Thai is really good, as is the Thai iced tea. Portions are big, so you can have great leftovers

Prompt and courteous delivery. Decent Pad Thai, excellent Thai Iced Tea.

Disappointing. Pad Thai and Curry were bland, and appetizers were greasy. There is much better Thai in the East Village-- will not order from here again.

One of my favorite thai places in the area. When I eat there the service is friendly but they're usually not so good on the phone, so I like ordering online. They forgot a couple of side items so make sure you're clear in the notes. The food is great, not too greasy. The old standby pad thai is a great choice. Nothing mindblowing here, but definitely a solid thai spot that's been there for years, and deservedly so. Also, they're usually cash only, but not online!

Tom Yum Soup could be spicier.

Had the Pad Kee Pad Mao Noodles (otherwise known as Drunken Noodles). This dish was underwhelming and completely amateur. This had no spice, barely detectable flavor, and the veggies were uncooked.
Posted 3 years ago by Ian J.
The pad thai was fresh, but not tasty. The vegetables selected gave a bitter taste (cabbage and...was that spinach?). The sauce wasn't well integrated. Very lackluster, will not order again.

This is the 4th time in a row that they do not listen to anything I order and just kind of give me what they feel is ok

Don't know how the food was...it was never delivered. I waited an hour then received a call from Seamless Web to say it wasn't coming. HUNGER! Won't order from here again...too risky!

Ummmm I actually think that Tai Thai is like SUPER DELICIOUS. I order from them ALL THE TIME. It's kind of scary. I really like their noodles and this thing with like ginger called Pad Khing. Their delivery is prompt, and their calamari is weirdly spiky. YARR. I think I was an orca in a past life because I love to devour squids.
